Singer Nick Jonas returned to The Voice for the live semi-finals Monday night (May. 17, 2021), following a reported on-set accident and subsequent hospitalization late Saturday night (May. 15, 2021).
At the start of the new episode of The Voice, host Carson Daly turned to the Jonas Brothers star to address recent reports about his accident. โBefore we get started, letโs just turn to our friend, Nick Jonas. How are you feeling, buddy?โ Carson asked.
While it isnโt known what project Nick was working on, the youngest Jonas Brother did reveal what injuries he sustained and how he did it, when he shared, โIโm feeling okay. Iโve been better, but Iโm doing alright. Cracked rib from a spill on a bike and a few other bumps and bruises, but I just want to go ahead and say that in case Iโm not as physically enthusiastic as I usually am.โ

Jonas then joked, โBlake, please donโt make me laugh too much, because it kind of hurts a lot.โ Blake Shelton replied, โYouโre just trying to get sympathy votes on the show.โ
Nick responded by saying: โItโs a big, elaborate plan.โ
Daly ended the segment with a sincere message to Jonas, saying, โWell, weโre glad youโre okay. Weโre glad youโre here. It means a lot to your team.โ
Nick added, โYeah, me too, for sure. Glad to be here. Canโt wait to cheer on Team Nick and all the other teams. Iโm really happy Iโm here today.โ
TMZ was the first to break the news of Jonasโs injury late Saturday night and his (brief) hospitalization. Jonas, who has now been with the singing competition series for two nonconsecutive seasons, reportedly injured himself while on set.
