NSYNC have released “Better Place,” the band's first song together in 20 years.

The song will appear on the soundtrack to the animated movie Trolls Band Together, set for release on 20 October.

Justin Timberlake, arguably the most famous alum of the boy band, is also a voice actor in the film and executive produced the soundtrack alongside Grammy award-winning producer/songwriter Mike Elizondo.

As well as making “Better Place” with his NSYNC band members, Timberlake also wrote and performed additional new original music for the film alongside artists including  Kid Cudi, Camila Cabello, Troye Sivan and Anna Kendrick.

NSYNC recently teased the new track, sharing a short clip to social media of them in the studio working together.

The nearly two-minute video shows all five members of the band, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone, Lance Bass, and Timberlake, working through a mix in a studio.

Timberlake said in the clip: “If we do this song, it's a love letter to our fans. I would be honoured to have the group on this song.”

NSYNC, known for hits such as “Bye Bye Bye” and “It's Gonna Be Me,” formed in Florida in 1995 and soon became one of the biggest music groups leading up to the millennium.

Their mega-success ended in 2001 when the I Want You Back singers parted ways to pursue other projects.

Trolls Band Together will be released in cinemas on October 20, 2023.
