Ever since we first saw Discord Addams stomp down the runway in her inimitable style, she won our hearts. I recently had the chance to chat with her about her new World of Wonder series FK This with Discord Addams, but with only 10 minutes to chat, I wasn’t able to hear tales of her time on season 18.
Fortunately, our safety-pinned punk provocateur sat down for an in-depth conversation with Kelly Mantle on her always-entertaining show. Discord, who first auditioned for Drag Race season 7 (and auditioned for almost every other season afterward), talks about her long journey to the werk room, her runway looks, behind-the-scenes drama, and what it was like to be Mama Ru’s favorite. She also talks about her hilarious Pope character in the Snatch Game (and the surprising character who inspired him) and the art of tattooing. Kelly and Discord also play a game of “Drag Association” that covers topics like Miley Cyrus (and pop stars who should be rock stars), how Discord and Nini Coco went from being rivals to good Judys and the individual that Discord feels is the GOAT.
Discord also discusses arguing politics with Naysha Lopez and creatively describes some Drag Race alums. Who does she think is “walking rage bait” an “X-man with liquid bones” and a “human Labubu”? She also reveals who she thought was the meanest queen she had ever met and who’s the meanest judge. Lastly, she talks about her upcoming Emofest tour and her desire to bring live music into the drag world. It’s no wonder Discord was Ru’s favorite…after you watch this episode, she might just be your favorite too.
