If you had to pick some of the hardest-working Drag Race queens, Trixie Mattel and Jinkx Monsoon would have to be at the top of the list. As the old saying goes, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” (or queen), and this pair is taking a break from their many ventures to play with dolls, giving them mini-makeovers.
Trixie uses one of her namesake dolls, and in honor of her upcoming role as Judy Garland in End of the Rainbow, Jinkx works her magic on a (ridiculously small) Dorothy doll. As they transform the dolls, they talk about the merits of voiceover work, filming Doctor Who and Queen of the Universe, The Traitors (and why queer people are generally the first to go), and performing in the UK.
Trixie talks about reading comics, and Jinkx tells tales of working with BenDeLaCreme. Jinkx also reveals the other celebs she’d like to play (one of them she’d be perfect for), tips for making it through the hard days and nights of work on Broadway, performance tips, and the genius of Cole Escola.
As far as the dolls go, their creations are pretty cool – but you’re just here to watch these two powerhouses in action, so enjoy.
