Paris Fashion Week is attracting a star-studded lineup and facilitating exciting collaborations. During the Dior Haute Couture show on Monday (Jan. 22, 2024), the iconic fashion house unveiled a new collection while also providing the perfect opportunity for a cute connection between Rihanna and Natalie Portman.
As she sat in the front row donning an all-black textured ensemble consisting of a puffy belted jacket, a figure-hugging skirt, leather gloves, and a statement cap, the “Diamonds” singer dazzled the audience. Though fans expect to see Rihanna at her fashionable best, watching her become star-struck by Portman was a standout moment.
“I am a fan!” exclaimed RiRi. “You’re one of the hottest bitches in Hollywood forever!”
After bumping into each other outside the show, the two celebrities shared a tight embrace, fangirling over each other. As the “Umbrella” singer twirled in excitement, she told Portman, who wore a black oversized blazer over a black minidress, that she had the most innocent look. Portman reciprocated Rihanna’s enthusiasm, expressing her love for the nine-time Grammy winner and accepting her compliments with disbelief.
“Are you kidding me? Excuse me, I’m gonna faint. I’m gonna black out!” exclaimed the Oscar-winning actress in response to Rihanna’s admiration. “I love you and I listen to your music all the time, and you’re just such a queen, thank you!”
The two requested a photo together, with Rihanna asking the paparazzi to snap a shot of the pair, and Portman ecstatically obliging. “Can somebody take a picture so I can remember this happened tomorrow?!” quipped the pop superstar. “I don’t get excited about anybody!” After sharing one final hug, the collaboration marked the beginning of a significant week for Portman, who could earn her fourth career Oscar nomination for her starring role in Todd Haynes’ May December when nominations are revealed today (Jan. 23, 2024).
