Romeo Beckham, the son of David and Victoria Beckham, has made a significant change in his career plans. In June, the former Brentford player turned down a new contract offer to stay with their reserve team.
Instead, according to The Sun, he's decided to leave the Premier League and focus on fashion. This move brings him closer to his mom's world, as Romeo, 21, hopes to sign with the Paris-based Safe Management to become a model.
Romeo is no stranger to fashion. At just two years old, he was in a Burberry ad. He's often seen showing off his style at big events.
This isn't the first time Romeo's hung up his soccer boots. He stepped away from the sport after leaving Arsenal in 2015 and tried his hand at tennis.
Romeo Beckham, one of David Beckham's sons, came to Europe last year and joined Brentford after starting out in Inter Miami's youth setup.
“I'm very proud and very happy to be here. I came here at first to keep fit during my league break. Then came the opportunity to come on loan here and I've never been so excited,” he said when he joined Brentford.
Before that, Romeo played for Arsenal in 2015 and signed with his dad David's MLS team, Inter Miami, in 2021. At Inter Miami, Romeo played 26 games for the reserve team, scoring twice and setting up ten goals in the MLS Next Pro league in his last U.S. season.
He then joined Brentford B on loan in January 2023.
