The year was 2014, and actor Ryan Phillippe was dating Paulina Slagter at the time, and Ryan enjoyed some rays in Miami, Florida.

While we are not blessed with semi-monthly shirtless photos of Ryan Phillippe anymore, he still does post the occasional thirst trap pic on Instagram.

How does Phillippe stay in shape? He credits it to working out with (and being consistently challenged by) the same personal trainer, Happy Hill, for more than 20 years.

“If we work on taking care of ourselves in our 20s, 30s and 40s, and you’re consistent about that, it just makes the aging process a lot less brutal,” Phillippe told People in 2018. “It’s the absolute truth. I don’t care your body type, or male or female. If you are moving and exercising and taking care of yourself, aging just won’t be as dramatic and it won’t be as unpleasant. We’re all going to have to go through it.”
