Is a feud brewing between Ryan Seacrest and Andy Cohen?
One year after Cohen, 54, got a little too drunk while hosting CNNโs New Yearโs Eve Live alongside Anderson Cooper, Seacrest, 48, weighed in about the situation.
โI donโt advocate drinking when one is on the air,โ the American Idol alum, who hosts ABCโs Dick Clarkโs New Yearโs Rockinโ Eve, said in a new interview. โI donโt know how that started as a tradition, but itโs probably a good idea [to scale back], CNN.โ
โThereโs some pretty respectable people or at least one, right?โ the Live With Kelly and Ryan star quipped. โI think thereโs a serious journalist and then a friend of mine who has a lot of fun, but itโs probably a good idea.โ

As OK! previously reported, the Bravo star blasted former Mayor Bill de Blasio for doing the โcrappiest job,โ and he slammed ABCโs Dick Clarkโs Rockinโ Eve, calling the performers a โgroup of losers.โ
Despite Cohenโs controversial comments, he declared he was just trying to have a good time. โI will not be shamed for having fun on New Yearโs Eve. Thatโs why Iโm there.โ he explained in January. โItโs a four-and-a-half-hour show. The booze started kicking in around 11:30 โฆ I kicked into high gear with 45 minutes left.โ
However, he did apologize to Seacrest.
โThe only thing that I regret saying, the only thing is that I slammed the ABC broadcast, and I really like Ryan Seacrest, and heโs a great guy,โ he noted. โAnd I really regret saying that, and I was just stupid and drunk and feeling it.โ
He added, โI just kept talking, and I shouldnโt have, and I felt bad about that. So that is the only thing [I regret]. Itโs the only thing.โ

Meanwhile, Seacrest believes if alcohol wasnโt in the equation, Cohen would have acted different.
โ[I donโt] think they would say what they said about our performers if they werenโt drinking,โ he explained.
Seacrest spoke with Entertainment Weekly.
