Taylor Swift took to social media to gush over Simone Biles, who used Swift’s track “…Ready For It?” to clinch the top spot during the women’s qualifying event for the 2024 U.S. Olympic Gymnastics Trials.
While Taylor Swift boasts an army of Swifties worldwide, even the pop sensation isn't immune to having a fangirl moment. The “Cruel Summer” singer recently took to social media to gush over Simone Biles, who used Swift’s track “…Ready For It?” to clinch the top spot during the women’s qualifying event for the 2024 U.S. Olympic Gymnastics Trials.
On Frida (Jun. 28, 2024), Biles performed her floor routine to the 2017 hit from Swift’s Reputation album, impressively nailing the triple-double move—a feat she first accomplished in 2019 at the U.S.
Gymnastics Championships. The routine also featured Travis Scott’s song “Delresto (Echoes),” adding more flair to her already phenomenal display. NBC Olympics & Paralympics shared a video of Biles’s routine on X (formerly Twitter), prompting Swift to drop into the comments with her praises.
“Watched this so many times and still unready,” Swift commented. “She’s ready for it tho.” The “Down Bad” singer added American flag and medal emojis, hinting that Biles is poised to expand her impressive medal tally at the upcoming Olympics.
Meanwhile, Swift is busy with her own marathon event—her Eras tour. That same Friday, the “Karma” singer captivated fans in Dublin shortly after having her boyfriend Travis Kelce make a surprise appearance on stage during her London performance.
Given that the Eras tour extends through December, Swift will unlikely be able to attend the Olympic Games in Paris. Nevertheless, it's safe to assume she’ll be cheering Biles on from afar.
