In a move that has left one of the world’s most famous families “devastated,” Brooklyn Beckham has reportedly severed his final digital ties with his parents, David and Victoria, and his brother Cruz. The social media blackout, occurring just days before Christmas 2025, marks a significant escalation in a long-simmering family rift that has captivated the public for years.

The situation came to light after fans noticed that the former soccer star and the fashion mogul were no longer following their eldest son on Instagram. While initial reports suggested the parents had initiated the unfollow, 20-year-old Cruz quickly moved to correct the record.

Taking to his Instagram Stories, Cruz shared a screenshot of the report with the emphatic caption, “NOT TRUE.” He went on to clarify the reality of the situation, stating, “My mum and dad would never unfollow their son. Let’s get the facts right. They woke up blocked… as did I.”

The catalyst for this latest breakdown is reportedly tied to a seemingly innocuous interaction. According to insiders, the “wild reason” for the block stems from Victoria liking a video of Brooklyn roasting a chicken. While the gesture appeared supportive, it triggered a wave of public comments from followers urging the 26-year-old to reconcile with his mother. Brooklyn reportedly found the public attention generated by Victoria’s “like” to be an unwelcome intrusion.

Sources close to the couple told the Daily Mail that for David and Victoria, social media was “their last connection to Brooklyn as he has made it very clear he doesn’t want to talk to them anymore.” The source added that following him was a way for them to send a message that “they still love him and still want to follow his life. Now they can’t do that, but it’s not their doing.”

This digital wall is the latest chapter in a saga that dates back to Brooklyn’s 2022 wedding to Nicola Peltz. Recent months have seen the couple absent from major milestones, including David’s 50th birthday and a family celebration for Inter Miami’s MLS Cup win. An insider shared that the situation has been especially hard on the family patriarch, noting, “It’s like the ghost of Brooklyn is hanging over their Christmas and New Year’s.”

Despite the tension, sources indicate David and Victoria would “love nothing more than to see Brooklyn over Christmas, put the past behind them and start 2026 afresh.” However, with the block still in place and communication lines down, the prospect of a holiday reunion remains uncertain.
