Timothée Chalamet is getting real about his future plans, and spoiler alert—fatherhood might just be in the cards.
The 29-year-old actor recently sat down with Mattie Kahn at Vogue for their December cover story, and while he kept things pretty tight-lipped about certain parts of his personal life, he definitely didn’t hold back when it came to sharing his thoughts on becoming a dad one day.
During the interview, published Thursday (November 6, 2025), Chalamet recalled a moment that really stuck with him. He was watching an interview with a friend when an unnamed celebrity started talking about their choice not to have children. The person was basically bragging about how much free time they had because of it, which didn’t sit well with the Dune star at all.
“Like, holy s**t. Oh my God. Bleak,” Chalamet remembered saying to his friend as they exchanged glances. His reaction speaks volumes about where he stands on the topic.
That said, the actor was quick to acknowledge that parenthood isn’t for everyone. He recognizes that some people simply can’t have kids or might never be in a position to do so. However, according to Vogue, Chalamet genuinely believes that procreation is essentially the whole point of being here.
So when the conversation turned to whether Timothée Chalamet himself plans to start a family, he kept things pretty chill but definitely didn’t rule it out. “That could be on the radar,” he told the magazine.
Meanwhile, the actor has been watching his peers settle down. He mentioned how his Dune co-stars are moving into new life chapters—Zendaya recently got engaged, and Anya Taylor-Joy tied the knot. Even closer to home, his sister Pauline Chalamet welcomed her first child back in September 2024.
Now, here’s where things get interesting. When the topic of his relationship with Kylie Jenner came up, Chalamet politely declined to discuss it. “And I don’t say that with any fear, I just don’t have anything to say,” he explained. The couple has been together for over two years now, but they’ve both been pretty consistent about keeping their romance private.
Kylie Jenner, who’s already a mom to two kids—Stormi and Aire—from her previous relationship with Travis Scott, has also stayed mum about their relationship in interviews. According to sources who spoke with Entertainment Tonight earlier this year, she’d actually love to have a baby with Chalamet someday.
Whether fatherhood happens sooner or later for Timothée Chalamet, it’s clear he’s thinking about his future with some serious intention.
