Following his recent appearance at the Liberty Inaugural Ball, where country music veteran and Miley Cyrusโ€˜ father, Billy Ray Cyrus, experienced technical difficulties during his โ€œOld Town Roadโ€ performance, several members of the Cyrus family have voiced their concern over his wellbeing.

The 63-year-old singerโ€™s former spouse, Firerose, 25, said she was โ€œgenuinely worriedโ€ about Cyrus, stating that โ€œwhatโ€™s being seen in public now reflects much of what I experienced in private during our relationship.โ€ His son Trace Cyrus took to Instagram with an open letter, writing, โ€œYouโ€™re not healthy & everyone is noticing it.โ€

Despite his previous claims about Satan and David Lynch destroying his life and family, Billy Ray didnโ€™t point fingers this time. He โ€œhad a ball at the Liberty Ballโ€ and attributed any performance issues to technical difficulties, adding that โ€œthatโ€™s called rock n roll!!!โ€ He assured his followers that he โ€œwouldnโ€™t have missed the honor of playing this event whether my microphone, guitar and monitors worked or not. I was there because President Donald J. Trump invited me.โ€

While he enthusiastically defended his performance at President Trumpโ€™s event (โ€œthatโ€™s called rock n roll!!!โ€), his response to his sonโ€™s expressions of concern took a different turn. In a recent Instagram post, Billy Ray reportedly escalated the situation by threatening โ€œlegal action for wanting you to get help.โ€

Traceโ€™s subsequent message to his father marked a shift into more direct confrontation in their public discourse. While acknowledging his message came โ€œbeyond loving,โ€ Trace revealed he โ€œcould have been extremely honest about a lot moreโ€ but chose to maintain discretion about his fatherโ€™s โ€œbusiness out there like that.โ€

However, the legal threats crossed a line for him. โ€œFor you to threaten me with legal action for wanting you to get help is a disgrace,โ€ he wrote, before making a poignant reference to Billy Rayโ€™s late father. โ€œPappy is looking down at you with such disappointment, I can assure you. You should be ashamed of yourself.โ€ This development has led Trace to maintain his familial love while withdrawing his โ€œrespect as a man.โ€ โ€œEveryone close to you is terrified to tell you how they really feel. Iโ€™m not. Get help.โ€

Additionally, Trace Cyrus shared several Instagram Stories, including a Fatherโ€™s Day 2022 memory (โ€œThe last good day I had with my dadโ€) and an image showing his father receiving a COVID booster while wearing a โ€œJesus is my boosterโ€ shirt. After pointing out the ironic nature of the attire, Trace noted the absence of direct communication from his father. โ€œHe did contact a family member to let me know heโ€™s taking legal action against me for encouraging him to get help,โ€ Trace wrote. โ€œDad I live 30 minutes away from you. You couldโ€™ve just come & talked to me like a man.โ€
