It’s been another busy week in the world of drag! Catch up with the season 11 queens and loads of your past favorites, including Detox, Shangela and Ben De La Crème in this week’s round-up!
We are down to 12 competitors on RuPaul’s Drag Race and this week, the queens took us to church. Check out what you missed or relive the holy rolling highlights in our recap.
On the podcast front, Willam and Alaska talk about the controversy surrounding the “drag empowerment” parodies on episode 2 (and cut up, as usual) on this week’s Race Chasers and Joel Kim Booster returns to spill some tea on What the Tuck? And, if you can’t get enough RuPaul chat in your ear holes, check out VH1’s official Drag Race podcast. Season 10’s Kameron Michaels and Asia O’Hara join host John Polly to revisit the latest episode and share their experiences working on the show.
You can relive the zodiac-inspired runway looks on “Fashion Photo Ruview” with Raja and Aquaria and kiki with Manila Luzon and (Emmy winner!) Delta Werk about episode two on “The Pit Stop.”
Buzzfeed, the favorite website for workplace slackers everywhere, posted a quiz called, “What season 11 queen are you?” I got Shuga Cain: “You may be a newcomer, but you still have an air of being polished about you. You are young at heart and prove that it's never too late to follow your dreams.” And she lies about her age. That’s surprisingly accurate.
The fabulous BenDeLaCreme was the guest on the season 7 premiere of “Hey Qween!” She talks about her time on Drag Race, her self-elimination on All-Stars and what she’s up to now. You can check the show out on YouTube – part one, part two, and part three.

Kahanna Montrese may be gone from RuPaul’s Drag Race, but she’s surely not going to be forgotten. The Sin City stunner just released her first single and video, “Scores.” In the vid, Manila Luzon plays a butch P.E. coach, Bob the Drag Queen cameos as a surly referee, and Trinity the Tuck, Sharon Needles, and Nina West also show up. Peppermint reprises her role as the school principal from Trinity’s recent video, “I Call Shade.” The tune is pretty damn catchy, and you can watch it here:
Did you catch Drag Me Down the Aisle? Thorgy Thor, Jujubee, Alexis Michelle and Bebe Zahara Benet traveled to Lancaster, Pennsylvania to help an insecure bride come out of her shell, find the perfect dress and plan a memorable wedding on a budget. If you have a Queer Eye-shaped hole in your heart, waiting for season three, this TLC show makes for a great appetizer.
Season 5 and All-Star legend Detox is the subject of an insightful short documentary called “Detoxified”. If you thought you knew this versatile queen, think again. Detox talks Drag Race, of course, but also talks about the rigors of the road and her amazing relationship with her sister. Highly recommended.
Willam is no stranger to YouTube, and her latest video “DayWalkin'” takes us on a tour of Hollywood’s hidden treasures, and if by “hidden treasures” you think “locations used in Pretty Woman”, this is the clip for you. Drag legend (and fellow YouTube sensation) Miss Coco Peru, who recently killed on Will and Grace, joins her. Willam rides a hoverboard in sky-high heels – this enough is worth your time – but the video is a real treat.
If, after all of this, you’re still craving more, check out Peppermint’s web series “Pep Talks” with special guest Shangela and, on the latest episode of “Sibling Rivalry,” Bob the Drag Queen and Monét X Change talk about “cancel culture.”
Whew! What a week it’s been, and there’s even more to come! We’ll be back next week with more updates and news from your favorite queens. Until then, everybody say LOVE!
