The star-studded ceremony honored the late Giorgio Armani, Demi Moore, Pamela Anderson, Hailey Bieber, Kourtney Kardashian Barker and industry professionals who define awards season glamour.
Held during “Golden Week” leading up to the Golden Globe Awards, the WWD Style Awards recognized excellence across fashion, beauty and accessories. Amanda Smith, chief executive officer of Fairchild Media Group, emphasized the event’s significance by stating it celebrates the industry’s foundation of craft, commerce and culture.
The evening’s most poignant moment came when George Clooney accepted the Red Carpet Visionary Award on behalf of the late Giorgio Armani. Clooney honored his longtime friend with characteristic humor and a heartfelt tribute. The actor noted Armani’s absence was deeply felt in the room, acknowledging the designer’s pivotal role in bringing glamour to awards season.
Demi Moore received the Fashion Icon award, arriving in a sleeveless black semi-sheer dress adorned with sparkles. The actress, who recently won a Golden Globe for her performance in “The Substance,” reflected on the importance of red carpet fashion in her career. Moore expressed her appreciation for the creative process, grateful for the opportunity to explore and tell stories through fashion.
Pamela Anderson was honored with the Beauty Icon award, making a striking appearance with newly bleached hair styled by celebrity hair artist John Nollet. The actress expressed surprise at her recent career resurgence. Anderson told attendees this has been a wild couple of years full of surprises, adding that she never knows what’s next and remains okay with that uncertainty.
Hailey Bieber accepted the Style Trailblazer award wearing a metallic silver dress from Giorgio Armani Privé’s couture spring 2009 collection, paying tribute to the late designer. The Rhode Skin founder acknowledged the collaborative nature of creating memorable fashion moments. Bieber emphasized that nobody in the room could create these moments without amazing collaborators, from hair to makeup to styling, before being playfully interrupted by eyebrow artist Anastasia Soare.
Speaking about her personal style philosophy, Bieber explained that feeling good in clothes is when they look best. She emphasized aiming for an effortless, chic aesthetic, where she wears the clothes rather than letting them wear her.
Kourtney Kardashian Barker was recognized as Wellness Entrepreneur of the Year for her supplement brand Lemme. The reality star-turned-entrepreneur delivered a pointed acceptance speech addressing past criticism. Kardashian Barker revealed she was once told she didn’t know what it takes to run a business she’s passionate about, and confidently stated that it turns out she does.
In a recent interview ahead of the awards, Kardashian Barker discussed her wellness journey, noting that clean living isn’t always realistic with seven kids. She explained that many women share this feeling, which inspired her approachable brand philosophy.
