Actor Jacob Elordi was involved in a heated confrontation with a photographer at the Gare du Nord train station in Paris on Wednesday, December 10, underscoring the star’s ongoing struggle with the invasive nature of celebrity culture. The incident occurred as the 28-year-old actor, known for his roles in Euphoria and the upcoming Frankenstein, attempted to navigate the busy transit hub while flanked by security.

Witnesses report that Elordi was trying to maintain a low profile, wearing headphones and keeping his head down, when he was aggressively approached by a paparazzo. Video footage circulating online captures the photographer repeatedly telling the actor, “Jacob, we love you,” in an apparent attempt to elicit a reaction or a pose.

Visibly frustrated by the intrusion, Elordi removed an earbud to address the individual directly. “You make it really hard for me to live,” Elordi told the photographer in a somber tone. Despite the actor’s plea for space, the paparazzo persisted, reiterating the sentiment of affection. Elordi, however, rejected the comment, firing back, “I don’t love you.”

The exchange escalated slightly as the photographer continued to follow the Australian star. Elordi repeated his distress, stating firmly, “You make it really hard for me to live, all of you. You make it really hard for me.” He subsequently managed to exit the situation by entering a nearby elevator, leaving the media scrum behind.

This Parisian encounter highlights Elordi’s previously voiced discomfort with meteoric fame. In a recent podcast appearance, he compared his life to The Truman Show, describing the internet’s obsession with him as “frightening” and noting that he often feels like a commodity rather than a person. “I could feel the Internet manifesting in the real world,” he explained, citing instances where public outings turned into spectacles.

Elordi has been traveling extensively across Europe to promote Guillermo del Toro‘s Frankenstein, which has already garnered him critical acclaim and award season buzz. Nevertheless, this latest clash serves as a stark reminder of the personal cost accompanying his professional success. While fans have rallied online to defend his right to privacy, the demand for celebrity content continues to drive these high-stakes interactions in public spaces.
