It isn’t every day that Hollywood royalty drops by for a bit of tikka masala, but that is exactly what happened this past Saturday in the quiet town of Market Harborough. The staff at Everest Lounge, a popular Leicestershire curry shop, were left completely “starstruck” when Spider-Man himself, Tom Holland, and his partner, Zendaya, walked through the door for a surprise dinner.

The famous pair, both 29, were reportedly in the area visiting relatives and decided to stop by the St Mary’s Road restaurant after catching a theatre show. Despite the restaurant being fully booked for the night, owner Pradip Karanjit and his team made sure to find room for the A-list couple and their friends.

Karanjit couldn’t hide his excitement about the high-profile visit, telling reporters that it was “a great honour to have celebrities of this magnitude visit Everest Lounge.” He shared that while the staff were internally buzzing, they did their best to keep things professional. “Our team remained very professional throughout, not disturbing them or asking for photos, allowing them to enjoy their time with us,” he explained.

While they might be global icons, the staff noted that the couple didn’t act like it. Mr. Karanjit remarked that they did not come across as “Hollywood royalty” at all. Instead, he described them as just a “normal young couple” going out for a meal.

As for what was on the menu, the stars certainly didn’t hold back on the flavors. Tom Holland reportedly tucked into a classic chicken tikka masala, paired with pilau rice and a garlic naan. Zendaya opted for a vegetarian spread, enjoying a chana saag bengan and a paneer shashlik starter, with a side of saag aloo.

The evening was a massive win for the local business, which is no stranger to awards but hasn’t often seen this level of fame. Reflecting on the “surreal” experience, Mr. Karanjit noted, “We were exceptionally pleased that we were able to accommodate them for the evening and that’s where everything started.” It’s safe to say this is one Saturday night the staff at the Everest Lounge won’t be forgetting anytime soon.
