On Sunday, March 1, at the 2026 Actor Awards, Zendaya‘s longtime stylist Law Roach casually dropped the most chaotic celebrity news of the year while chatting with Access Hollywood. Roach told the outlet, “The wedding has already happened,” before twisting the knife with a breezy, “You missed it.”
When the reporter — bless them — tried to fact-check him in real time, Roach didn’t blink. After being asked, “Is that true?” Roach replied, “It’s very true,” with a laugh. PEOPLE has since reached out to reps for both Zendaya and Tom Holland, which, sure, good luck with that.
For those keeping score at home, this is the most information anyone has ever gotten about this wedding. And it came from a man standing on a red carpet in a very good outfit.
If you’re feeling blindsided, you really shouldn’t be. Roach has been telegraphing this level of secrecy for months. Back in May 2025, he made it crystal clear: “It will probably be a wedding dress that no one will ever see, to be quite honest, because she and Tom are super private about their relationship. They try to be as private as possible, so there won’t be a Vogue spread, or there won’t be pictures of the wedding.”
He wasn’t kidding. Not even a little.
“She and Tom are super private about their relationship. They’re trying to be as private as possible,” Roach had said previously, underscoring just how seriously the couple takes keeping their personal life out of the public eye.
The timeline here is genuinely impressive. Holland proposed to Zendaya between Christmas 2024 and New Year’s, in what was described as a discreet setting at one of Zendaya’s family homes in the United States. Tom’s father, Dominic Holland, later spilled that his son did everything by the book. “Tom, as you know by now, was very incredibly well prepared. He had purchased a ring. He had spoken with her father and gained permission to propose to his daughter. Tom had everything planned out… When, where, how, what to say, what to wear,” Dominic wrote in a Patreon post.
Organized. Romantic. Private. Tom Holland was always going to be the kind of person who pulled off a secret wedding.
The engagement itself was only confirmed after Zendaya showed up to the 2025 Golden Globes wearing a ring that sent the internet collectively losing its mind. Even then, the couple said absolutely nothing. Roach did all the talking — and even he, as recently as July 2025, insisted the wedding was still far off. “The process hasn’t even started yet,” he told E! News at the Las Culturistas Culture Awards. Zendaya is working on so many movies. She’s now filming the next iteration of Dune, so she’s away doing that. It’s so many movies, so we have time. We have a lot of time.”
So either Roach is the best troll in the industry, or Zendaya and Tom Holland planned and executed an entire secret wedding while everyone was waiting for them to even book a venue. Given who these two are, the latter feels entirely on-brand.
“I’m really excited because I know that they really love each other and they have for a really long time,” Roach said. “The fact that the world has been able to share in that love story, I think it’s really beautiful.”
The world shared in it — right up until the part that actually counted. Then the door closed, the phones stayed in pockets, and apparently, Zendaya and Tom Holland got married.
