Lady Gaga is set to star in Ridley Scott’s upcoming film about the Gucci family murder!

Gaga will follow up her award-winning performance in A Star Is Born by working with the Alien director on this high fashion drama, according to Deadline.

As of yet untitled, the movie will recount the 1995 murder of the heir to the iconic fashion house, Maurizio Gucci, who was shot in the head by a hitman. Lady Gaga will play Patrizia Reggiani, Maurizio’s ex-wife who was dubbed the Dark Widow by the media after being sentenced to 29 years in prison for orchestrating his death.

The role couldn’t be further from that of Ally Maine, the girl next door from A Star Is Born, as Patrizia’s daughters claimed a brain tumor had caused her to behave irrationally and do things she never normally would. She served 18 years before being released in 2016.

The Gucci murder tale is scripted by Roberto Bentivegna and adopted from the Sara Gay Forden book The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, and Greed.
