Since she first debuted on the music charts back in 2008, Katy Perry has had a quirky signature style all her own. From her penchant for over-the-top costumes and ever-changing hair, the singer’s rock-star style has transformed from cute California girl to bona-fide fashion icon.

KATY PERRY (MAY 5, 2005): New to Los Angeles, Katy attended the Buttercup Celebrity Treasure Hunt event. Perry paired brown cowboy boots with her soft yellow embroidered dress. Katy accessorized her outfit with a beige western style belt and a woven cream mexican bag. Now that we think about it, Katy was trying to dress accordingly, since the event took place on Cinco De Mayo.
