Andy Cohen Confirms He’s Been Dating Kevin Sobieski for Almost a Year and Says “I Love Him”

Andy Cohen is officially off the market, and he’s head over heels.

The 58-year-old Watch What Happens Live host confirmed on the latest episode of SiriusXM’s Andy Cohen Live that he has been dating Kevin Sobieski for nearly a year now, and he did not hold back on the details.

“I met the person, you guys,” Cohen told listeners, though he stopped short of naming Sobieski directly during the broadcast.

The confirmation comes just days after photos of the two walking hand-in-hand through New York City went viral. The now-famous date night happened June 2, 2026 at celebrity hotspot Via Carota in New York City’s West Village, when neither Cohen nor Sobieski had yet confirmed the relationship. Gossip account DeuxMoi posted the pictures with the caption, “Andy Cohen and his boyfriend Kevin spotted at Via Carota,” and the internet did the rest.

Cohen wasted no time spilling all the romantic backstory once he finally went public. “We met at my friend Justin’s July 4th party last year. So, it was 11 months ago and I saw him from across the party. I almost didn’t go to the party, you guys.”

“I almost didn’t go and I dragged myself out. I never get invited to gay parties in the Hamptons anymore. I was like, ‘You know what? Let me just go.'”

Once he got there, the rest was history. After arriving, Cohen recalled immediately thinking to himself, “‘I got to talk to this guy. Who is this guy?'”

“We talked all night,” he shared. “I very methodically put my number in his phone and he was like, ‘Wow, the way you…’ and apparently I said to him twice that night, ‘I want to make sure this number is right.’ And then he said, ‘I knew you were serious when you were really serious about this number.'”

Cohen described Sobieski as “kind and strong and smart,” and revealed their first public date was a Metallica concert in the Hamptons. As for what makes the relationship click? Cohen confessed they haven’t had a single fight because he and Sobieski “just view life the same way.”

“I don’t want to be with the wrong person. I value my time too much. I value my life too much. And I have great friends and a great life and great kids. And you know, my criteria about what I was looking for never changed. It’s always been a feeling for me. And I’ve always followed the feeling. And I am really happy to say that I met the person you guys.”

So who exactly is Kevin Sobieski? He’s a businessman who works at the asset management firm TPG as part of the organization’s portfolio operations team, where he focuses on healthcare investments. He’s also a Harvard grad and the first man Andy has been publicly linked to in years.

Before being linked to Cohen, Sobieski dated composer and songwriter Benj Pasek from 2018 to 2022. The two were photographed on the red carpet a number of times throughout their relationship, including at the opening of the Broadway musical Dear Evan Hansen, which Pasek composed.

Cohen’s last publicly known relationship was with epidemiologist Clifton Dassuncao, from whom he split in 2018. He’s been candid over the years about navigating the dating world as a single dad to Ben, 7, and Lucy, 4. During an October appearance on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast, he opened up: “I meet two kinds of people: people that I want to sleep with and people that I want to date. And people that I want to date and sleep with, obviously, that’s the goal.”

Sounds like he finally found the full package.

The Bravo honcho also confirmed he had been gearing up to go public with the relationship right around the time those hand-holding photos surfaced. Timing, it seems, was on everyone’s side.

An alleged friend of Kevin even chimed in on DeuxMoi, saying: “He is a GREAT guy and Andy is super lucky to be with such a gem.”
