Jamie Dornan Hospitalized With ‘Heart Attack Symptoms’ After Toxic Caterpillar Run-In, and More News

Jamie Dornan allegedly had a scary encounter with toxic caterpillars that landed him in the hospital while vacationing in Portugal.

Speaking on Scottish BBC panel show The Good, the Bad and the Unexpected, Dornan's good friend and Good Morning Britain host Gordon Smart detailed the series of events that led them both to seek medical attention.

“We had a great time the first day, played loads of golf, went out, lots of wine, was drunk and then we got on to espresso martinis,” Smart said, via the Standard.

“Anyway, the next day, we played golf, we were all absolutely dreadful and I started to feel tingling in my left hand and then tickling in my left arm. I'm the son of a GP and thought, ‘This is normally the sign of the start of a heart attack.'”

After feeling the “tingling,” Smart said he went to the hospital and discovered he had a raised resting heart rate. When he was discharged, he realized Dornan was also experiencing the same symptoms and was hooked up to medical equipment.

Scott said Dornan told him, “Dear me. Gordon, about 20 minutes after you left, my left arm went numb, my left leg went numb, my right leg went numb, and I found myself in the back of an ambulance.”

After both men recovered, the doctors informed them of the caterpillar encounter.
