The iconic world of Melrose Place may soon return to screens with a cast reunion that promises drama, nostalgia, and modern twists. Original stars including Heather Locklear, Laura Leighton, and Daphne Zuniga are poised to bring back the beloved characters of the 90s hit show, reports Deadline.

Writer Lauren Gussis (of Insatiable fame) is developing a potential revival that would breathe new life into the original series. The series would reassemble old friends after a sudden death. The unexpected event precipitates a whirlwind of unresolved conflicts, past loves, and bitter rivalries, all under the shadow of fresh secrets.

Television enthusiasts first devoured the salacious tales of Melrose Place following its premiere on Fox in 1992. A byproduct of Beverly Hills, 90210, this soap opera chronicled the lives of attractive young adults navigating personal and professional turmoils within a trendy Los Angeles apartment block. Heather Locklear made television history as the formidable Amanda Woodward, an advertising executive known for her tenacity, with Laura Leighton and Daphne Zuniga captivating audiences as Sydney and Jo, respectively.

While the reboot currently seeks a network or streaming platform home, anticipations rise with news that more alumni from the original ensemble may join the project. The Season 1 cast boasted talents like Josie Bissett, Andrew Shue, Courtney Thorne-Smith, Grant Show, Thomas Calabro, and Doug Savant.

The 2009 attempt by The CW to rekindle Melrose Place lore, while featuring fresh faces, saw Locklear, Leighton, and Zuniga reappear, though it failed to secure longevity beyond its initial season.
