In an Instagram post, Adele shared her excitement at the prospect of playing in the bespoke pop-up stadium created for her shows. She described the idea as “a bit random” but “fabulous” and said that she was thrilled to be able to put on a one-off concert of her choosing in the heart of Europe.
The shows are scheduled for August 2, 3, 9, and 10, and Adele has cited several reasons for the timing. She is looking forward to seeing the UEFA Euro 2024 European soccer championships, which will be taking place in Germany, and to the Paris Olympics, which will be held in 2024. In addition, she is excited to see some of her favorite artists perform live and hopes that her English fans will be inspired by the timing of the concerts to cheer on their national team in the Euros.
Due to COVID-related complications, Adele postponed her residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas earlier this year. Still, the shows were eventually rescheduled for later in 2022 and beyond. The Munich concerts will mark the end of this particular phase of her career, and she is looking forward to being able to play for her European fans once again.
