Alex Rodriguez is seemingly still coming to terms with Jennifer Lopez‘s recent reunion with her former flame, Ben Affleck.
It is being widely reported that JLo and Ben enjoyed a week-long break in Montana after attending the VAX LIVE concert together in LA. And her ex is said to be “shocked” by the news.
A source told E! News that the former baseball star thought the pair would “be able to make it work and reconnect”, adding that Alex is “saddened” by the reunion and has reached out to let Jennifer know he is upset.
The pair, who were engaged to be married in 2003 before calling off the wedding, spent a few days alone together in Montana, as exes do, and the internet was ablaze with speculation that Bennifer is back.
Rodriguez, 45, was out and about in Miami when a Page Six reporter asked him: ‘What do you think about the news about Jennifer and Ben? Are you doing ok? Did you know they were in Montana together?’
The former slugger replied: “Go Yankees” before getting in his car.
Alex famously played for the New York Yankees – a major rival to Ben’s beloved baseball team, the Boston Red Sox. Affleck is so devoted to the Red Sox that he once refused to wear a Yankees hat in a scene for Gone Girl, he later confirmed to the New York Times.
