Ariana Grande is opening up about a misunderstanding with Elvira thatโ€™s been making waves. The 73-year-old Queen of Halloween, whose real name is Cassandra Peterson, recently shared a story about giving the 31-year-old Wicked star over 20 tickets to one of her shows.

According to Elvira, during the pre-show meet-and-greet, she took photos and signed autographs for everyone. But when she asked Ariana for a picture, the singer reportedly said, โ€œNah, I donโ€™t really do that.โ€ Elvira also mentioned that Ariana left before the show started.

As the story spread like wildfire, Ariana took to Instagram to clear the air and share her perspective.

Letโ€™s dive into what happened nextโ€ฆ

โ€œIโ€™m so disheartened to see this. I actually donโ€™t even remember getting the chance to meet you because I had an anxiety attack and to my memory, left before the rest of my family (this was around 7 years ago and at the time I was really not great with being in public crowds or loud places),โ€ Ariana wrote in response to Elviraโ€™s post about their past encounter.

She continued, โ€œBut if Iโ€™m misremembering this moment, I sincerely apologize for offending you so. Thank you for being so nice to my mom, she told me how lovely you were (she might have different feelings about that now but Iโ€™ll talk to herโ€ฆ clearly, we all have our days!) Sending love always. โ™ก Youโ€™ll always be our queen of halloween!โ€
