Tokyo (AFP) โ€“ Win or lose, Simone Biles has already claimed a slice of history at the Tokyo Olympics.

The reigning all-around champion โ€” long-regarded as the greatest gymnast of all time โ€” has become the first athlete to be awarded their own emoji on Twitter.

The social media platform announced Wednesday that it had given Biles her own emoji โ€” a goat wearing a leotard and a gold medal.

The symbol is a reference to Bilesโ€™ status as the โ€œG.O.A.T: Greatest of all timeโ€ โ€” a tag the 24-year-old Olympian has embraced in recent years.

โ€œWitness greatness. Tweet with greatness,โ€ the officialย Twitter Sports account wrote in announcing the emoji.

The symbol is generated by inputting #SimoneBiles or #Simone in Tweets.

Biles recently began competing in a leotard decorated with silver rhinestones in the shape of a goatโ€™s head.

The American star โ€” who has dubbed her personal goat character โ€˜Goldieโ€™ โ€” says the leotard design is meant to inspire others.

โ€œI just hope that kids growing up watching this donโ€™t or arenโ€™t ashamed of being good at whatever they do,โ€ she said in a recent interview.

โ€œI want kids to learn that, yes, itโ€™s okay to acknowledge that youโ€™re good or even great at something.โ€
