While Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce kicked off their star-studded wedding weekend at Madison Square Garden, Blake Lively was nowhere near the guest list, or the city.
Photos obtained by TMZ show Lively, 38, and husband Ryan Reynolds, 49, cheering on their daughter Betty, 6, at a horse show at a local farm in Lake Placid, New York, on Thursday, July 2. Betty reportedly earned a second-place finish in her event. The family looked relaxed and low-key — Lively in a halter top and jean shorts with her hair in a messy bun, and Reynolds keeping it casual in a white T-shirt, khaki pants and a tan hat.
The wholesome family outing happened roughly 300 miles and nearly five hours away from the hottest wedding of the decade.
Meanwhile, back in the city, all eyes were locked on MSG, where Swift’s inner circle arrived dressed to the nines for a rehearsal dinner at the venue’s Infosys Theater on Thursday night (July 2, 2026). Among the A-listers spotted heading to the event were Selena Gomez, Jack Antonoff, Bradley Cooper, Gigi Hadid, Lena Dunham, Adam Sandler, Ed Sheeran and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Notably absent from that list: Blake Lively.

The rehearsal dinner was held for around 100 guests, with the larger wedding celebration on Friday expected to accommodate around 1,000 people. Page Six has exclusively confirmed the ceremony is set for a 5:30 p.m. start time, with the reception kicking off at 6:30 p.m.
The contrast between Lively’s quiet upstate escape and the glittering scene at the Garden was hard to miss.
It’s been no secret that the once-tight bond between Swift and Lively has fractured badly. The fallout stems from Lively’s legal war with her It Ends With Us director and co-star Justin Baldoni. Swift got swept up in the mess when Baldoni’s legal team subpoenaed her, before the subpoena was later withdrawn. Adding insult to injury, private text messages between Swift and Lively were made public during the legal battle.
A source close to the situation told PEOPLE it blindsided the singer. “She was just being a friend to Blake, and it’s turned into something bigger than she ever expected. She never thought private messages would become public.”

Page Six previously reported that Swift “needs space” from the actress, and by August 2025, a source told PEOPLE point-blank: “Taylor and Blake aren’t speaking.”
Last month, it was confirmed Lively did not receive a wedding invitation. A source told Us Weekly that the Gossip Girl alum is taking it in stride. “Blake understands why she wouldn’t be invited and that it would be a media frenzy,” the insider said. “She also understands that she and Taylor don’t have the same level of friendship they once had. She isn’t upset about not being invited, but of course, she would love to be there to support her and Travis.”
Meanwhile, TMZ notes that as wedding festivities heat up, Swift has reportedly rekindled her friendship with Karlie Kloss, signaling that the pop star is leaning into the relationships that weathered the storm.
In the days leading up to the celebration, Swift and Kelce made a meaningful gesture, donating $26 million to 20 local and national charities this week, many located in areas where the couple has deep ties.

As for Blake Lively, she spent Taylor Swift’s wedding weekend cheering on her daughter in the Adirondacks. It’s not the night she imagined, but by all accounts, she’s making the most of it.
Page Six has exclusively confirmed that Swift and Kelce have already exchanged vows in front of a small group of loved ones ahead of their lavish MSG celebration. “They are already married,” a source insisted.
