Caroline Manzo, a former star of the Real Housewives of New Jersey, has taken legal action against Bravo and multiple production companies for their involvement in a Housewives spinoff called Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip.

The incident in question took place in January 2023 while the cast was in Morocco, and Manzo alleges that Brandi Glanville, from the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, sexually harassed her.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Manzo claims that producers provided cast members with excessive alcohol to encourage more outrageous behavior for the show. She states that Glanville began to make unwanted advances toward her in their rental house, which escalated into a physical interaction that Manzo describes as non-consensual. She further alleges that Glanville continued to paw at her and mount her on a couch.

While Manzo is not suing Glanville, she is holding the network responsible for creating an environment that put cast members at risk for such incidents to occur. Manzo alleges that the showrunners and producers were responsible for fostering a drunken environment that allowed for sexual harassment and other inappropriate behaviors.

Interestingly, Glanville also spoke out about the incident on Twitter, claiming that producers encourage cast members to drink excessively and behave in outrageous ways for the sake of ratings.

In addition to negligence, Manzo is suing Bravo for sexual harassment and intentional infliction of emotional distress. She alleges that the incident triggered trauma from a childhood experience of sexual assault.

Overall, Manzo is seeking significant damages for the harm she suffered and the neglect she experienced during her time on the show. The lawsuit is a sobering reminder of the dangers that come with reality TV and the responsibility that networks and production companies have to protect their cast members.
