Donald Trump and Nicki Minaj have officially turned the 2026 midterm election cycle into a surreal, highly anatomical reality show. The rapper flew on Air Force One to a Port Huron, Michigan rally, where the president took a highly public detour to review her anatomy.
Trump was originally in the middle of a bizarre tangent about Ohio Senator Jon Husted when Minaj caught his eye. He had just finished explaining how he noticed Husted’s hands were massive and his “fingers look like sausages.”
The president inexplicably wandered away from the podium before returning to announce his pivot to the rapper. He told the MAGA crowd, “By the way, I looked at one hell of a beautiful ass before: Nicki Minaj.”
Trump made absolutely sure everyone in the venue paid attention to his celebrity guest’s backside. “That’s hard to miss,” he instructed the crowd, demanding, “Stand up.”

The crowd reportedly went wild at the prospect of ogling the rapper, prompting the president to issue a brief disclaimer. “I hope Nicki wasn’t insulted, but we love Nicki,” he assured his audience.
He then attempted to get back to Husted, emphasizing that the Ohio senator’s rear end “was like a big piece of muscle.”
Trump casually clarified his general policy on checking out his political allies for the confused crowd. He admitted, “I looked at his ass, and I’ve never done that with a man before, it’s true,” before adding, “Off the record — women, yes, men, no, okay?”

If Minaj was bothered by the crude public appraisal, she certainly didn’t show it. Before the Michigan rally, she filmed a wildly sycophantic, staged job interview with White House Communications Director Steven Cheung.
Cheung lobbed a massive softball question at the rapper to kick off the impromptu audition. He asked, “Is there anyone who works harder than President Trump on the campaign trail?”
Minaj enthusiastically read the room and immediately played the part of the ultimate MAGA cheerleader. She replied, “Absolutely not.”
“You have a man who’s won three elections, you know, legacy media continues to attack him left and right, and what does he do?” she asked. She quickly answered her own question, claiming, “He wakes up at 4:00 in the morning, [and] he outworks people that are half his age.”
She cemented her absolute loyalty to the administration with a final rhetorical flourish. “And what does that say about his character?” she gushed.

Cheung was visibly thrilled with the performance and quickly floated the idea of giving her Katie Zacharia‘s job. He posted the 133-second video on X with the caption, “Ladies and gentlemen, I think we may have found the new White House Press Secretary! @NickiMinaj.”
Trump advisor Alex Bruesewitz quickly jumped on the bizarre bandwagon to hype the potential hiring. He directly targeted her rabid fanbase, posting, “Hey Barbz, what do we think about this idea??”
Cheung then wrapped the audition by asking for her message to the country regarding “fake news polls.”
The rapper made her media strategy perfectly clear during her chat with Cheung. She flatly stated, “We’re not going to be paying to kiss their a.”

Minaj has heavily leaned into the MAGA rebrand all year, completely ignoring any backlash. She even declared herself the president’s “number one fan” at a summit back in January.
If her fake interview is any indication, she is fully prepared to take over the briefing room. And clearly, the president is perfectly happy to keep admiring her assets along the way.
