Not the best way to ring in the New Year!

During the NBC's live New Year's Eve celebration in Times Square, the ball had dropped to signify 2019 was here, the band was playing “Auld Lang Syne,” co-host Carson Daly was taking a sip of champagne and Chrissy Teigen went in for a hug with fellow host Leslie Jones. And Jones' umbrella then whacked Teigen in the face.

That pretty much sums up 2019. Of course, the internet had something to say about this.

Thankfully, Teigen was not hurt!

“Influencer” Cameron Dallas, who has millions of followers on YouTube and Instagram, was arrested Saturday morning after allegedly punching a man at an Aspen, Colorado, hotel, authorities said. No details as to why he punched the man as of yet other than Dallas' tweet about the incident:

“Unfortunately sometimes in life you find yourself in a situation where you have to protect yourself and the people you care about, have a safe and happy new year, 2019 is going to be an amazing one.”
