As Daniel Craig moves on from his James Bond days, he’s got some exciting projects lined up. But when it comes to who should step into 007’s shoes next, Craig’s not losing sleep over it.

In a recent chat with Variety, the British actor was asked about the future face of James Bond. His response? A chuckle and three simple words: “I don’t care.”

Since Craig announced that 2021’s No Time to Die would be his Bond swan song, fans have been buzzing about who’s next. Craig’s run as the suave spy spanned five films:

  • Casino Royale (2006)
  • Quantum of Solace (2008)
  • Skyfall (2012)
  • Spectre (2015)
  • No Time to Die (2021)

Post-Bond, Craig’s found a new detective gig as Benoit Blanc in Rian Johnson‘s Knives Out series. He first donned Blanc’s accent in 2019’s Knives Out, returned for 2022’s Glass Onion, and is set to appear in next year’s Wake Up Dead Man.

Meanwhile, Craig’s also starring in Luca Guadagnino’s Queer, hitting theaters on November 27.

As we wonder about Bond’s future, it’s clear Craig’s career is far from slowing down. Whether he’s cracking cases or taking on new roles, he’s keeping us on our toes – just like 007 would.
