Actor Harrison Ford is returning to television.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the legendary Star Wars and Indiana Jones actor is attached to star in a scripted take on the hit true-crime documentary series The Staircase.

The story details the trial of American novelist Michael Peterson, who was accused of murdering his wife in 2001.

Peterson claimed his wife died after falling down the stairs at their home, but police suspected he bludgeoned her to death and staged the scene to look like an accident.

While lots of people think Peterson totally did it, others believe the culprit was, um, an owl.

Ford will be taking on the role of Peterson, which is an interesting character for him to take on. I’m sure he’ll end up giving a great performance.

If you haven’t watched the docuseries yet, it’s actually a fascinating story worth checking out.

While Ford has made appearances on television before in series like The Virginian, The F.B.I. and Gunsmoke, this would serve as his first regular television role.
