Unseen photos of Harry Styles from an SNL photoshoot dating back to 2019 recently surfaced online of the singer dressed as Ariel from The Little Mermaid has surfaced and Twitter is beside itself.
In 2019, he revealed he had turned down the role of Prince Eric in Disney’s live-action reimagining of The Little Mermaid.
Many are now joking that he has been cast to play Ariel in the upcoming live-action remake of the classic 90s film — despite having already turned down the role of Prince Eric.
The name “Ariel” was a top trend on Twitter after images of the “Golden” singer emerged, as the titular character from The Little Mermaid. Styles is seen posing in a red wig and green tail and enjoying some champagne and a cigarette while posing.
Needless to say, legions of the heartthrob’s fans have been expressing excitement over the shots as waves of memes and jokes emerge.
