Graphic designer and podcaster Roger Roecken met Henry Cavill at San Diego Comic-Con and reportedly learned the actor wants to continue playing Superman in a sequel to Man of Steel.
Henry Cavill made his first appearance as Superman in Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel before reprising the role in both Batman v Superman and Justice League.
Since then, Henry Cavill’s future as Superman has been in question amidst reports of contentious contract negotiations with Warner Bros. and the studios reported plans to shelve the Man of Steel for the time being.
However, Roger Roecken crossed paths with Henry Cavill at San Diego Comic-Con and recounted a conversation he had in which the actor expressed his desire to reprise his role as Superman in a direct sequel to Man of Steel.
According to Roecken, Henry Cavill wants to explore how Superman would be affected by having “absolute power” and said there are many stories left to tell.
