Comedian Howie Mandel recently addressed concerns regarding his wife Terry Mandel‘s hospitalization following a fall, clarifying that marijuana, not alcohol, was the cause.

During an appearance on Live With Kelly and Mark, Mandel recounted the incident, revealing that Terry had split her head after taking a tumble in their Las Vegas hotel room. The revelation led to speculation about alcohol being involved, which Terry was eager to dispel.

“She wasn’t drunk,” Mandel emphasized on TMZ Live. “She’s so worried that people are going to intervene… she doesn’t have an alcohol problem. I’m gonna tell you the truth — she took gummies.”

The incident occurred in February after the couple had spent a night out. Terry got out of bed in the middle of the night, collided with a wall, and subsequently fell, hitting her face on the wainscoting. The impact resulted in a torn forehead and a broken cheek.

“I wake up, I turn on the light, I looked around the bed,” Mandel shared on Kelly and Mark. “She’s in the corner face down, and I didn’t know she cut her head, but blood is wheeling out, and I just freaked out!”
