He may play the tough guy on screen, but it turns out Idris Elba has got plenty of insecurities as the rest of us.

The Luther actor took to social media to share a video with his 3.3 million viewers showing how he’d cast away his iconic beard.

46-year-old Elba is currently in the process of filming a movie version of the Andrew Lloyd-Webber musical Cats and has shaved it off for the role – but turns out he’s not a huge fan of his face without the beard.
