Jake Paul has tweeted that he’s now a “retired boxer,” which could be legit, could be a troll, and could be something that he thinks for the time being but later changes his mind about.

So maybe today is the day he’s become a true professional fighter, ending all debates.

Paul had hinted after the [Tyron Woodley] fight that he was considering stepping away from the sport, even without having had the chance to fight Conor McGregor yet, which he has been desperate to do.

“I honestly don’t know, we’ll see,” he said.

“I’ve been doing this for 18 months and I haven’t rested. I need to take time.

“I’ve had ups and downs. I want to be well, maybe rest and spend time with my brother and now support him just like I did when he fought Floyd Mayweather.
