The star of Fifty Shades of Grey, Jamie Dornan, has been cast as identical twins in a UK-based drama for Netflix.

The Undertow, a crime noir series featuring the Irishman, was revealed at a Netflix event called Next in London. The show will center around identical twins named Adam and Lee, both played by the Irishman.

Nicola (Mackenzie Davis) finds herself trapped in a joyless union with Adam, but her life changes dramatically when Adamโ€™s estranged identical twin brother, Lee, suddenly reappears. Their complicated history of romance jeopardizes their current situation.

The TV series is inspired by the show Twin produced by Nordisk Film Production AS and created by Kristoffer Metcalfe. It will be developed by Complete Fiction and wiip, with filming set to begin in the Scottish Highlands later this year.

Jamie Dornan is becoming a well-known name for recent Netflix subscribers, having recently appeared in the spy thriller Heart of Stone alongside Gal Gadot. He also recently switched from Max to Netflix in the U.S. for his BBC-Stan drama The Tourist.
