Actress Jodie Turner-Smith‘s camp is calling a new lawsuit fiction. The suit ties the actress to her brother’s alleged drug dealing and coercive sex parties.
Three women identified only as Jane Does filed the civil suit Thursday (September 24, 2026) in Los Angeles, naming the Queen & Slim star as a defendant. The case centers on her brother, Richard Smith.
Her team says none of it happened. “This is a fictional lawsuit filed by someone who has been harassing Jodie,” a rep for the actress told TMZ.
The rep went further: “The claims are not true.” Turner-Smith’s camp also disputes the number of accusers, arguing one person is presenting themselves as three Jane Does.
The most serious allegations target Richard. The women say he invited them to gatherings where they encountered narcotics, weapons, and group sexual activity.
They accuse him of sexual battery, false imprisonment, fraud, and infliction of emotional distress.
Jane Does 1 and 3 claim he pressured them to use drugs and have sex with him. Jane Doe 3 says he let her stay at his Los Angeles home in exchange for sex.
Jane Doe 2 says she met Richard in 2023 at an after-hours party in LA, where he gave her drugs. According to the filing, “trays of cocaine were present.”
She describes the sexual relationship that followed as controlling, and alleges he used drugs to control her and pressured her into nonconsensual sex. All three women say they are traumatized and suffering physical and psychological injury.
The allegations against Turner-Smith herself are narrower. The most striking ones come secondhand.
According to the complaint, Richard bragged about his sister’s financial support. “I used to take care of her, now she takes care of me,” he allegedly said.
When asked whether Turner-Smith knew about the operation, Jane Doe 2 replied, “she knew.” The suit also accuses the actress of giving her brother an Audi allegedly used to carry narcotics to the post office for shipment across state lines.
Jane Doe 1 says she later learned the house where the alleged activity took place was owned by Turner-Smith.
The actress is being sued for property-related negligence, negligence per se, child endangerment, and aiding and abetting. None of the claims has been tested in court.
The complaint draws its own line. The plaintiffs present Richard’s statements as his own, and separate them from any claim that Turner-Smith admitted those facts.
The filing also alleges Richard called himself “more talented than” his sister. Jane Doe 2 says he made other remarks hostile toward Black women and his own family.
Turner-Smith’s rep called the case “an abuse of the legal system.” Neither sibling had formally responded to the lawsuit, according to The Post.
Turner-Smith currently stars in The Agency and was recently seen in Tron: Ares and Taylor Swift’s Opalite music video.
For now, the case rests on unproven allegations, and her team insists they are false.
