Joel Kim Booster is saying sorry to Shannon Storms Beador after he blasted the Real Housewives of Orange County star on social media a few weeks back.

The Fire Island creator and star had called out Beador last month, claiming she mistreated crew members during filming of their upcoming Peacock Real Housewives dating show, tentatively called Love Hotel. Booster, who’s reportedly hosting the series, is now expressing deep regret for his comments.

“I’ve had a lot of time to think and process about this and I wish I could say that I was not the guy who posted those statements on Instagram, but the fact is that I am,” he shared on his Instagram Story Friday. “I let an onset conflict cloud my judgement and accessed the darkest, ugliest part of myself and said things I don’t stand by or even believe, and I am deeply sorry that I allowed my worst self to cloud my judgement.”

A Change of Heart

“I know Shannon has had an extraordinarily hard year as she has bravely shared and as someone who has struggles of their own that have spilled over into work, I should have had more grace for her in that moment,” Booster added, referring to her September 2023 arrest for an alleged DUI and hit-and-run. “I am deeply sorry for the way in which I’ve made Shannon’s road toward stability more difficult, and hope that she makes it out the other side of this stronger, healthier and with the love that she deserves in her life.”

He wrapped up by saying, “I regret making this a part of the story of our show, as I’m deeply proud of the work, the ladies and the crew put into making it. Love our incredible crew and production staff so much and I would go to war for each and every single one of them.”

On September 29, after the new Peacock reality show’s wrap party, the Loot actor harshly criticized the reality star, alleging Beador treated people on set “like they are subhuman.”

“Just because you’re a pathetic drunk on a reality television show best known for a string of failed relationships and a DUI does not make you a star and does not give you license to treat the people you work with like they are subhuman. Period,” Booster had written in a now-deleted Instagram Story post. “They will make me delete this but DM me if you’d like to see some videos. Besos!”

Recently, during her Shannon & Vicki Live! show in Irvine, California, with The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Vicki Gunvalson, Beador was asked about Booster’s comments.

Beador responded thoughtfully, “I’m honestly puzzled. The night before our wrap party, he had tears in his eyes and told me, ‘I’m so happy for you.’ … So it’s going to look odd for him because he showed nothing but kindness throughout the show,” she shared, her voice tinged with confusion.

“It’s not professional behavior,” Beador continued, her tone reflective. “What saddens me is that I did some genuinely nice things on the show, and people noticed my kindness. It’s tough to walk away from an experience I truly enjoyed, only to have this cloud hanging over it. We’ll see what unfolds. I’m at a loss about where this came from. I really am.”
