Lenny Kravitz has never met a gym he couldn’t turn into a runway.

The rocker, 62, is once again reminding the world that age is just a number he’s chosen to ignore, gracing the cover of Men’s Health for its Summer 2026 issue and spilling the details behind the abs that have launched a thousand double takes. And no, he’s not doing it with a little help from science.

“All this is natural: no peptides, no human growth hormone, no testosterone,” Kravitz said. “There’s nothing wrong if people want to do those things. But there’s an alternative. You can do it naturally with exercise and food. Is it harder? Yes. Does it take more work? Yes. But that’s how I choose to do it, and it’s 100 percent attainable.”

Forget the Peloton stats and the Oura Ring. Kravitz’s fitness gauge is decidedly old-school — a pair of 28-inch-waist pants.

“I can gauge everything by how I’m in my pants,” he explained, crediting the method to a fellow rock royalty type who taught him the value of discipline decades ago. Kravitz said watching Mick Jagger’s regimen on a Bahamas holiday changed everything.

“I hadn’t put the two together yet,” he admitted of realizing fitness and longevity go hand in hand, something he says clicked for him back in the Circus era of the mid-’90s.

His longtime trainer, Dodd Romero, who has worked with Kravitz for a quarter century, isn’t shy about how the sausage — or should we say, the six-pack — gets made. Romero told Men’s Health that Kravitz barely rests between sets, instead using the downtime to knock out crunches, planks and hanging leg raises, typically two to three sets of 21 reps per move. Do the math and that’s roughly 336 ab reps in a single session.

“Lenny wears his shirts and jackets open, so all those necklaces are visible. It’s an important part of his body,” Romero said, explaining why the core gets so much real estate in the workout.

And yes, the leather pants at the gym are real, and they’re spectacular. Romero previously told Us Weekly the wardrobe choice isn’t a bit. “He’s always going to meetings,” Romero said. “So he doesn’t actually put on gym attire. … He really is Lenny all the time.”

Kravitz isn’t claiming perfection, either. “I don’t mean that to sound like I’m into myself, but I’ve put in the work and I feel really good,” he said. “But I gotta fill out my legs a little bit.”

Fans on Instagram were quick to salute the results. “Proof age is just a number. Put in the work and get the results,” one wrote, while another declared, “You are a role model for every man!!!”

Turns out the fountain of youth looks a lot like a hanging leg raise and a very tight pair of pants.
