While the rest of the world come to terms with the fact the Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth seem to be done for good, Liam’s family are reportedly “relieved” that the pair have finally split.
In fact, Liam’s mom, Leonie Hemsworth, may have never given Miley her seal of approval in the first place.
The celebrity pair, who tied the knot in December last year, had been in a relationship for the best part of a decade before deciding to part ways.
Despite many fans assuming that the 26-year-old singer and the 29-year-old actor were breaking up to make up (as they had done so before), it seems that the pair are really going through with their split.
And it looks like the permanent break up may be for the best if the family never really approved of the country-pop singer from the start.
“Liam really felt he needed his family after the break-up,” the insider said. “They are very, very close.”
“His mom is feeling so relieved that Liam made the decision to end the relationship as his entire family, but her especially, always struggled approving Miley,” the source said.
“[Liam] really struggled with the break-up and is going to be cautious and slow heading into the next relationship.”
It looks as if Liam is moving on from Miley, just as Miley has from Liam. The paparazzi snapped photos of the actor and Dynasty actress Maddison Brown, 22, kissing in New York City.
A source told E! News, “They sat outside at a table for two and seemed very happy. They laughed many times over their meal and were very comfortable and natural together. They had cocktails with their lunch and took their time chatting.”
“It didn't look like a first date,” the insider emphasized. “They held hands and walked very close to each other. Liam led her around and she had a big smile on her face. They were having fun together and seemed very close.”
