Lil Nas X is the latest artist to have an object thrown at him while performing on stage. The incident went down on Saturday (Jul. 02, 2023) at the European Lollapalooza Festival in Stockholm, Sweden.
While Lil Nas X was performing, an overzealous fan hurled a sex toy that mimicked a vagina at his feet. In the footage shared by TMZ, the “Panini” singer stopped the show and bent over to look at what was thrown, and once he realized what it was, he addressed the crowd.
“Who threw they pussy onstage?” he jokingly asked the festivalgoers in attendance before continuing his set.
While Lil Nas X managed to walk away unscathed, fans throwing stuff at artists mid-concert has been a recurring problem in recent months, with a recent string of dangerous fan interactions.
The bizarre trend seemingly kicked off last month at a Bebe Rexha concert, when the singer suffered a black eye after a fan’s cell phone hit her.
Following Rexha’s injury, other artists like Pink, Sexyy Red, and Kelsea Ballerini were similarly subjected to strange projectiles while performing.
Less than two weeks ago, singer Ava Max was slapped “so hard” by a fan who’d rushed the stage that the inside of her eye was scratched, she tweeted.
Another strange incident occurred at Pink’s concert at the British Summer Time festival in London last weekend.
A fan of the “Raise Your Glass” singer threw a bag of their mother’s ashes onto the stage during her performance.
“Is this your mom?” Pink, 43, asked as she picked up the bag.
“I don’t know how I feel about this,” she added before resuming her set.
