Pop icon Madonna is looking back (and looking AMAZING) on her incredible recovery, marking a year since she was discharged from the hospital following a serious health scare.

“Exactly a year ago today, I came home from the hospital after surviving a life-threatening illness. I could barely stand in my backyard holding one sparkler,” the 65-year-old legend shared on Instagram Friday (Jul. 05, 2024), alongside photos from her recent Fourth of July festivities.

“I made a miraculous recovery and had an amazing year. Thank you, God. Life is beautiful! ♥️🧨🔥,” she added.

The “Like a Prayer” singer included several intimate snapshots, including one of her cozying up to a mystery man. In a particularly sultry photo, he can be seen grabbing her chest.

These PDA-filled pics come nearly two months after reports surfaced about her split with Josh Popper.

Back in July 2023, Madonna was released from the ICU after being found unconscious in her New York City home. She was later revealed to have been in septic shock and was revived with Narcan.

Her manager confirmed at the time that she had been battling a “serious bacterial infection.”

Upon her return home, Madonna broke her silence, thanking fans for their “positive energy, prayers, and words of healing and encouragement.”

“I have felt your love. I’m on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life,” she posted on Instagram on July 10.

In the hospital, the Grammy-winning artist thought of her six children and her upcoming “Celebration” tour.

“I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour. I also didn’t want to let down the people who worked tirelessly with me over the last few months to create my show. I hate to disappoint anyone,” she explained.

Madonna's sudden illness led to the postponement of the North American world tour dates, initially set to begin on July 15, 2023, in Vancouver, Canada.

Despite fighting to maintain the original schedule, she eventually had to push back the dates due to her health. She kicked off her Celebration tour—celebrating her 40 years in music—at London’s O2 arena in October 2023.

The trailblazing star played her most recent show in May in Brazil.
