Madonna‘s 66th birthday was a family celebration. The pop icon shared a rare photo with all six of her children on Monday (Aug. 19, 2024), giving fans a glimpse into her birthday festivities in Italy.
She posted a series of heartwarming pictures on Instagram, including one showing the singer surrounded by Lourdes “Lola” Leon, 27, Rocco Ritchie, 24, David Banda, 18, Mercy James, 18, and twins Stella and Estere, 11.
Madonna looked glamorous in a white lace dress with a black bustier underneath. She added a gold belt around her waist and chunky jewelry. Her four daughters also wore dresses, with Leon and the twins topping off their outfits with head scarves.
Ritchie sported a partially unbuttoned white shirt with black pants, while Banda wore a striped polo shirt. Another photo showed Madonna smiling as Banda hugged her from behind, and a third captured the seven-time Grammy winner posing between her twin daughters.
The singer's rumored boyfriend, Akeem Morris, joined the celebration and was seen holding hands with the music star.
“La Dolce Vita…………….. 🎂🥂🇮🇹 ♥️,” she wrote in the caption.
People magazine reported that Madonna and her children arrived in Pompei with about 30 guests on Friday to celebrate her birthday, which was on Aug. 16. The party took place at night in a candle-lit amphitheater.
While in Italy, Madonna also celebrated her son Rocco‘s birthday, which fell on Aug. 11. It's rare to see Madonna with all six of her children together, with their last public appearance as a group being on Mother's Day in May 2023.
Madonna welcomed Lourdes in 1996 with ex-boyfriend Carlos Leon, and Rocco in 2000 with ex-husband Guy Ritchie. She and Guy adopted David in 2005. Madonna later adopted Mercy and twins Stella and Estere as a single mother in 2009 and 2012, respectively.
