Scott Peterson, the convicted murderer, is speaking out for the first time in over two decades about the deaths of his wife, Laci Peterson, and their unborn son, Conner Peterson.
At 51, Peterson has been behind bars for 20 years, serving a life sentence without parole for the murders. He’s maintained his innocence since his wife vanished on Christmas Eve 2002.
A new three-part docuseries, Face to Face With Scott Peterson, debuts on Peacock on Aug. 20. It features Peterson’s first interviews since his 2003 arrest and murder charges.
Filmmaker Shareen Anderson chatted with Peterson in 15-minute video calls from Mule Creek State Prison.
“If I have a chance to get the reality out there, I have a chance to show people what the truth is, and if they’re willing to accept it, maybe that takes a little bit of hurt off my family, and that would be the biggest thing that I can accomplish right now,” Peterson said in the series opener.
“Don’t trust me — look at the evidence,” he added.
