‘Eat more protein, count your calories, and make sure you eat less..’ This is the advice a “good coach” will give you.. 😅 Now, why are these people, that do this, not getting shredded or building lean muscle? ❌ Why do these people still fail at getting in great shape? 🤔 • Because it’s ineffective and takes a ton of effort to count everything you eat! ❌ So, do you wanna know how you can lose fat without all this struggle and waisted effort? 😄👌🏽 • One principle that I teach in my fat loss system that can make all the difference in getting lean = “nutrient density”. 🙌🏽 If we eat more nutrient dense foods, foods that contain a ton on health promoting nutrients, we get satisfied sooner! ✅ And you naturally don’t have that strong urge to eat that one extra cooky, or that one extra plate of pasta. 🍝 Because your body already has all the essential nutrients like vitamins, antioxidants, omega-3s, beta carotene, chlorophyll, that it needs for healthy functioning. ✅ Meaning you lose fat without effort! 👏🏽😎 #NextLvLFatloss #Losefateasily #NextLvLScience

I hope you have an amazing start of 2019! 🤗🎊 I sure did! But I also did eat about 10.000 calories more than normal.. 😅 And I guess I am not the only one! So what to do about all those extra calories if we want to get shredded? Well, surprise! The fastest way to lose fat is after you’ve been eating a lot! 🔥😁 • Why? Because your metabolism is going trough the roof right now. And research shows that because of this you can burn a ton of extra fat! ✅ So if you want to lose fat fast! Make sure the next 7 days you balance it out and have some high nutritious but low calorie days at least 3 days! Animal protein better than plant protein?!⁉️You have probably also heard this a 100 times before haven’t you? But what does science say? 🤔🔬 • The idea comes actually from old research on rats from 1914. They thought by the time that plant protein didn’t have all the essential amino acids. And that you have to combine certain plant proteins to get enough. ❌ But already 25 years ago research showed that plant proteins are complete and that it isn’t less valuable than animal protein at all! ✅ Like the American Heart Association states: plant proteins can provide enough essential amino acids, and we don’t need to consciously combine plant protein. 🙌🏽 Beans, lintels and soy products are a great way to get extra protein if you don’t want animal protein! 💪🏽🤓

Yo boy has some good news for you! A study from 2015 found that training 4 or 6 days a week training can result in about the same fat-free mass increases and strength improvement! 🙌🏽😁 • Please don’t think you have to train more than 3 times a week to make fast progress! If you can’t train a lot, make sure you focus on 1 or 2 exercises per muscle group every week, do at least 6-8 sets a week per muscle group. Go for exercises that are hard for you, and you will guaranted make still fast progress! Now, have great weekend guys! I’ve just destroyed my exam in Philosophy of science today so my weekend is already booming! 🤗❤️ #lotsoflove

PLEASE READ! ⁉️Please know that this is not how my physique looks 24/7!! First, yess you can achieve this totally naturally with only 2 to 3 hours lifting a week, for real, just like me! But this pic is the result of the right lighting, right carb intake, right water intake, right pump, right time, and right photo, after taking like 20 or so hahah.🤣 • I see many people now a days struggle with unrealistic expectation. I understand, I also have it, because on insta you only see the best side of things. And I can also beat myself up for not having this or achieving this thing I see others have. Now a days I try to be more grateful for what I have, everyday at 7 am, I have an alarm in my phone that shows me the question, what am I grateful about?! Science shows that being grateful can get you in a positive mood instantly! • I challenge you to also put something like this in your phone on whatever time you prefer! Do you feel like you’re not gaining strength and muscle fast enough?🤔⁉️ If so, I know the feeling. I struggled a lot with getting stronger in my first years of lifting. What really helped me was a special training method that many people still don’t know about. 😏👌🏽 • What accelerated my gains was by starting with my heaviest set first when I do my exercises, next set I would lower the weight and do more reps, and next sets again lower the weight and do extra reps! ✅ A 2018 study also shows that with this technique you can make the same gains as if you would lift the same heavy weight for all sets but here’s where it gets interesting. The subsequent sets are easier if you lower the weight the next sets. So it will take you less effort to do all sets which can help you to perform better next exercises but also recover better to build more muscle mass and strength! Win-Win if you ask me! Are you not getting stronger every week? 🤔 Well, it’s probably because you’re not stimulating your muscles enough to grow! ❌ Research from 2007 shows that training a muscle more often might be a great way to break through plateaus because you can create a bigger growth stimulus this way. So, to break through! Try to do that exercise one more time per week, that you’re not gaining strength on, for only 3-4 extra sets! ✅ 💪🏽 #makinggainsbaby #watchthemagichappen • Ps: I’m back in Amsterdam! HOW I STAY IN THIS SHAPE? When I was younger I always lost muscle and gained fat if I didn’t had time to do my regular routine and cook my own meals, while traveling for example. ❌ But throughout the years I’ve found ways to get in an even better shape while traveling! 😄 • One important thing is that most people have huge diners when eating out! And that’s absolutely okay! ✅ Yesterday I had a crazy cheese burger with fries! 😍 But here’s the difference with people that gain fat. If I have these diners I make sure that throughout the rest of the day I eat lots of nutritious foods like fruits and veggies! The nutrients will make you healthy and strong and because they’re low in calories you can enjoy incredible meals at diner while getting in a better shape! 👏🏽😁

On a scale of 1-10 what you guys think of my imitation of this guy: 😋#donttakelifetooseriously • So you wanna know how people get a good looking muscular body?🤔⁉️ Yes, it has to do with what program they’re on but what most people don’t know is that how long you do an exercise can make a big difference! Research from the Journal of Applied Physiology shows us that you’ll first get neurological adaptations when you start doing a new exercise, that means that your body will first learn how to contract your muscle more efficiently without gaining a lot of muscle. After this your body wil start gaining muscle fast! So if you wanna gain muscle quickly, try to stick with the same exercise longer and see the magic happen! 💪🏽🤓 #FitnessInTheNameOfScience
