It has been tough, but we’ve spent all week long scouring the depths of Instagram to bring you this week’s Instahottie — Chella Man.
Chella Man is a 22-year-old, Chinese-American, transmasculine, genderqueer model, and visual artist. He is also an actor, who made his acting debut on the second season of DC Universe’s delirious superhero series, Titans.
One of his missions is to educate others on issues regarding being queer and disabled within a safe space.
He is also the first transmasculine face of YSL Beauty, is celebrating the scars he has from his gender confirmation surgery.
“My scars are radiant, they show where I’ve been,” the young LGBTQ and deaf activist said in a video for YSL Beauty shared on his Instagram account last month.
Lifting up his shirt, and showing off his ripped and muscular torso and arms, Man says in a voiceover that he has always experienced “intense gender dysphoria.”
“My mind didn’t connect to my body,” he explained. “Top surgery allowed me to make my body a home, and my scars will always remind me of this liberation.”
