How did you get your start in music?
I started making music in 2013 as a hobby after school. I would produce beats and record covers on Garageband and would even write original songs and upload them to my Soundcloud. In 2018 I moved to Chicago to officially start my career as Amira Jazeera and met producers and networked with creatives in the city and ever since then itโs been laser focus.
What was the inspiration for โLuv U Downโ?
ย โLuv U Downโ came from listening to the โControlโ album by Janet Jackson in 2023. I made this very synthy-dreamy beat and showed it to my new friend at the time Carolina a/k/a Chillona, and we had a writing session in my bedroom studio and thatโs how the song came to life!ย
What are you hoping people take away from your music?
I hope that my music can bring some joy, inspiration and healing. A lot of my songs are personal, like diary entries. I use writing music as a coping mechanism with the state of the world, itโs a way to escape. A way to heal my inner child who wanted so badly to see someone like myself. I hope that it shows other Arab girls in the diaspora that we can be in these spaces just as much as everyone else
Whatโs next for you?
My debut album is coming this Spring and Itโs been 3 years in the making!ย After that, world dominationโฆhaha.

Probably my Diary, I use it for everything! I write about my day, my to-do list, grocery list, and every year I write down my manifestations/goals I want to accomplish.ย
Who would you want to play you in a movie of your life?
Maybe Bella Hadid? Hopefully by the time thereโs a movie about my life there will be more Palestinian-American representation in Hollywood.ย

What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Perfect happiness is not a realistic expectation if we are being honest but the things that make me the most happy is spending time with my loved ones, the feeling I get when I write a song from my heart, being on stage and feeling seen by my fans and being able to live my dreams.ย ย
