In an eagerly anticipated move, Normani has finally lifted the curtain on some exciting details about her debut album, Dopamine. On March 22, 2024, the music world was abuzz when Normani hinted at a significant revelation concerning her debut album through her official X (formerly Twitter) account.

True to her word, on March 23, the singer divulged the name, release date, and artist featured on the album's lead single.

Mark your calendars for April 26, as that's when we'll get our first taste of Dopamine with the release of the lead single, “1:59.” The track promises to silence any skeptics. Although specific details about the song remain under wraps, it's confirmed to feature the talents of rapper Gunna.

This announcement is a breath of fresh air to fans who have been riding the rollercoaster of anticipation through several album rollout teases and hits such as 2019's “Motivation” and 2021's “Wild Side” with Cardi B. Seems Normani ready to focus on her music, moving past the criticisms and doubts about her commitment to her craft.

In a recent conversation with Who What Wear, Normani opened up about the essence of Dopamine. “The album feels like a liberation and like a season of freedom,” she said. “Not just because the record is finally coming out, but because it’s a celebration of everything [she] has been through to get to this moment.”
